Wesley Spectrum's Gala: A Record-Breaking Fundraising Event!

Three-hundred and forty attendees came out to the Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday March 1, 2008 for Wesley Spectrum’s Gala, “Celebrating Children, Families and the Future.” The event raised over $150,000 for Wesley Spectrum Services and the children and families that we serve.

The evening was kicked off with a moving performance of “Help” by John Lennon, sung by a Wesley Spectrum Academy student. The student let the audience know he chose that song because “the people at the Academy have helped me so much.” The performance, along with parents that spoke about the impact Wesley Spectrum has made on their son, and an awards program that spotlighted three truly special individuals, reminded us why we were all there that night.

Funds raised at the Gala will enhance services provided to children and families receiving Wesley Spectrum’s services. Essentially, each Gala supporter has partnered with Wesley Spectrum to help make dreams come true.

There was a great buzz in the air as attendees competed to bid on the over 250 silent auction items and the energy in the room elevated again during the live auction.
