Services Acute Partial Hospital Track
A child who has an emotional or behavioral disorder and experiences a crisis needs immediate help. The Wesley Spectrum Integrated Services Acute Partial Hospital Track provides this child with short-term crisis prevention and stabilization and referrals for special education placement or therapeutic help. This is a very intensive program, designed to achieve maximum outcomes for recovery in minimal time.
Each child (between the ages of 6 and 18) can be admitted in as little as 24 hours, and be treated for up to three or four weeks. The child will continue to live at home during treatment, benefiting from a secure, familiar setting, while attending the program Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. It is linked to a transitional school program, so the child can keep up with his or her grade level. Following treatment, some children move onto a more specialized school setting, or return to their community school, better able to face their issues and meet their goals.
