Children who are abused or neglected need a safe, temporary place to live. Wesley Spectrum’s foster parents have intensive, ongoing training so they can understand and help these children. The warmth, caring and wide diversity of our foster parents allows a child to live in a home where his or her cultural identity is nurtured. We are licensed for medically needy children and also place older children and sibling groups.

As always at Wesley Spectrum, the child’s needs come first, so we work hard to match each child with a suitable family, and keep him or her in a stable home environment, regardless of the level of services received. Each child has a Wesley Spectrum advocate counselor who provides counseling in a long-lasting relationship, helping the child, birth parents and foster parents, feel valued and supported.

Without foster care parents, more children would be homeless, insecure and lacking family guidance. To become a foster care parent, or refer a child who needs help, call our East Office at 412-342-2300.
