A child who is recovering from an acute mental health crisis needs a gradual way to transition back to a school environment. The Wesley Spectrum School is a Private Academic School that combines special education and school-based partial hospital services for these children. Following a crisis intervention, a child will continue to live at home during treatment and education, benefiting from a secure, familiar setting while attending the program Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in Clairton, Pa.

We can serve up to 24 children at a time, between ages 6 and 18. They stay an average of four months, though some continue up to one year. During this time, teachers and therapists work with each child to develop individualized educational and mental health treatment plans.
